Students in Shanghai returned to in-person classes on Thursday as the city reopens all schools that had been closed since March to curb the spread of Covid-19. However, while Shanghai is lifting Covid-19 restrictions after its worst outbreak since the pandemic began, other parts of China are imposing further lockdowns as the virus continues to spread.
